LLast
year
it was the Meat drum
Then the all Rubber drum .
Then the Hand Hammered Maple.
The year before it was the Cat-O-9-Lugs.
Then came the SunLuck Nail drum,
What
will SunLuck donate this year?
2006 show treasure : The 1957
SunLuck Special "S" Piccolo snare drum!
A beautifully crafted maple shell set in burnt coal finish, replete with silver splatters and hand painted...swirly things with little boxes in the middle. Simply stunning. The side-by-side brass stud lugs allow this drum the low profile no other drum of the time had ever achieved and the Shitmano posi-luck friction strainer is smooth and infinitely adjustable tension (once you force it past the edge of the hoop). Hand hewn edges and snare beds that defy current thinking that says such things are of
any importance. Who would have thought of a drum n' bass snare drum sound in 1957? Only SunLuck!
